Full Day — Blue Hole Dive Experience
Most Blue Hole trips are built around volume.
Early departure. Multiple boats. Timed drops. Get in, get out, move on.
You check the box… but you don’t really experience it.
That’s not how we run it.
This is a full-day expedition designed to give you the Blue Hole as part of a complete dive experience, not just a single deep drop.
You’re diving three completely different environments in one trip: depth, wall, and reef — each one with its own pace, structure, and feel.
About a 1.5–2 hour run offshore to Lighthouse Reef. As you approach, the water shifts from light turquoise to a deep indigo circle in the middle of the reef. That’s when you know you’re there.
The Blue Hole is a massive marine sinkhole — nearly 1,000 feet across and over 400 feet deep. You descend along a vertical wall, and as you drop past ~100–130ft, the environment changes fast.
Light fades. Temperature drops slightly. The wall opens into an overhang. Massive stalactites — some over 20 feet long — hang from the ceiling, with broken formations and stalagmites rising from below.
It feels less like a reef dive and more like entering a submerged cavern frozen in time. Marine life at depth is limited, but you may encounter reef sharks, groupers, and passing schools. It’s not about quantity. It’s about scale.
From there, everything opens up. Half Moon Caye Wall shifts the experience from deep and vertical to bright and alive.
A coral wall dropping thousands of feet, covered in sponges, fans, and dense coral growth. Expect turtles, reef sharks, and constant movement along the wall.
After your second dive, we stop on Half Moon Caye — a protected island where a fresh Belizean lunch is served. A short walk leads to the red-footed booby sanctuary, one of the only nesting sites in the Western Hemisphere. It’s quiet. No crowds. No noise.
Then we head back out for the final dive. The Aquarium at Long Caye is exactly what it sounds like — shallow, vibrant reef packed with life. Dense schools of fish, colorful coral, and constant motion. The perfect way to finish the day.
You’ll spend the full day on the water with breakfast, a full Belizean lunch, fruit, snacks, water, and soda. Divers who haven’t been in the water recently may be asked to do a refresher.
Three completely different dives + island time in one full day. Refresher dive possible if needed.
